Starting with a blank canvas, we created this design with a strong overall layout using gentle terracing to overcome the sideways slope. A large lawn provides plenty of space for the children, with paths connecting each area. A row of pleached crab apple trees brings height and interest into the centre of the garden and divides the space without blocking the view beyond. Wilder corners offer a haven for wildlife and there is plenty of space at the front for the childrens' play equipment. The planting is a blend of structural evergreens to take it through the winter, with softer herbaceous planting and ornamental grasses giving colour and fun.
